It was another wonderful Portland Pizza Weekback in April. A time when the sun comes out, the flowers bloom, and the creative slices pour out of our favorite Pizza shops.
What is Portland Pizza Week?
Each year, Portland Pizza Week takes over the city of Portland. And this year, there were over 70 local pizza purveyors serving up specialized slices for just $4 each! It’s our biggest pizza week of the year, and we love it.
Why we love Portland Pizza week so much!
When Pizza Pac™ was just kicking off in 2022, we decided it would be so much fun to celebrate all the amazing Pizza with an award: the Pizza Pac People’s Choice Awards.
We created an intricate voting system, and voila! The PPPC was born.
This year…
The top trend seemed to be bacon and/or ham, which is not my favorite, but is a favorite of the people. (Remember the year that the pizzas were delightfully peach-heavy?!)
And The Pizza Pac People’s Choice Awards goes to..
All the slices were delicious, and we definitely loved the People’s Choice Winner, “Heated Rivalry,” from East Glisan Pizza! We even ordered a second slice after finishing our first.
This is our 5th (and final) year hosting the People’s Choice Award.
It was fun meeting pizza lovers and having pizza parties with friends! Thanks to everyone who stopped to say hi! And to the people who were excited about our brackets.
